I’d still prefer the long walks alone

I sit on the evening bench in deep thoughts

Minding nothing else but my thoughts

As if hypnotized by its tiny flashes

I sought the star gradually undresses

to music only he knows.

The night sky stripteases longer

til it’s oblivious of his shoulder

I stare at it; his face shows

when I walk with it; his body arches

While I’m in my deep thoughts, he trifles

So I continue walking as if two of my legs are not tired and weary,

I follow the star Polaris when my feet still coordinate with me,

Full of zest.

Trust me.

When I’m like this chasing the stars and walking towards the moon,

The eventide submits to me

Then

I know I’d still prefer the long walks alone.
