A bitter aftertaste

You came out such a strong coffee on a rainy afternoon when you burnt my tongue as I took a sip of you before you had even cooled off.

I was so eager to engrave your name on my lips that the bitterness had me forget your soothing sweetness yet I could only swear I had blown your scent sensually.

I wondered if it was my timing or ignorance that led you to hate me. Had you a daring mouth to speak, you would have complained for my negative advancement and smile wryly.

Still you and me had left the same bitter aftertaste we wished we never had on a rainy afternoon if it was to leave each other a good memory.
